Getting to know Founder & Designer, Shannon Scott

I have always been drawing - on scraps of paper, the margins of notebooks, and any surface that called for a touch of creativity. Art has never been something I simply do; it’s the way I see the world. Colors, textures, and palettes reveal themselves to me in the everyday moments - sunlight filtering through trees, the way a flower fades,

the pattern on the feathers of a chicken.

My favorite artists? Children. Their uninhibited creativity, their fearless use of color, and their endless imagination has always inspired me. Art isn’t just part of my life. It is my life. Whether through photography, painting, or illustration, I am constantly seeking to create, to capture, and to share.

 

The creation of Willow & Fern Co. came naturally. It is an extension of my passion for art, nature, and storytelling. As an artist, (former) elementary teacher, parent, and grandparent, I have always been drawn to the magic of childhood, the wonder of discovery, and the beauty of the natural world. My designs are rooted in these experiences -  pieces that reflect the simple, organic charm of childhood and nature’s quiet elegance.

 

This journey is not just about making things. It's about creating something meaningful, beautiful, and lasting.
